When Pete asked me to volunteer to eat cake and all I had to do afterwards was to write a blog for his website, I was well up for it! I decided to go try out Slice on Church Road as it’s only just opened and I love trying out new places.
I had a decaf latte (afraid I’m not much of a coffee connoisseur, my expertise only lies in baked products!) and a white chocolate brownie for under a fiver. My first thought was it seemed a bit wrong eating a brownie that was not actually brown but it did taste amazing with big chunks of white chocolate.
The café has a really relaxed cosy atmosphere with a lovely fire at the back and lots of quirky chairs. It’s a great place to meet friends as it seems really relaxed and even holds cinema evenings on Wednesday nights which I really fancy trying out.
